MuseVid privacy notice

This notice covers MuseVid, the music video studio of WhisperLooms Pty Ltd ("WhisperLooms", "we"): the MuseVid uploader, which uses YouTube API Services, and the MuseVid videos embedded on whisperlooms.com/musevid. It does not cover other parts of whisperlooms.com.
The MuseVid uploader and YouTube API Services
The MuseVid uploader is an internal tool. WhisperLooms uses it to upload its own music videos, with their titles, descriptions and thumbnails, to its own YouTube channel, @musevid. It uses YouTube API Services. By using the MuseVid uploader, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
- Who signs in: only WhisperLooms' own Google account. The uploader is not offered to the public and does not sign in or act for anyone else.
- What it accesses: permission to upload videos and thumbnails to the WhisperLooms channel, and to read that channel's name so the uploader can show which channel it is acting on. It does not read, collect or store data about viewers or other YouTube users.
- Before every upload: the uploader shows the channel, the title, description, tags, files and the visibility (private, unlisted or public; private by default), and uploads only after the person running it confirms. It never adds to or changes the text it is given.
- Where data is kept: the sign-in tokens Google issues are stored only on WhisperLooms' own computer, outside any shared system, and are never sold or shared. Data is sent to YouTube over encrypted connections. We keep a record of each upload's video link in our project files, re-check each one with YouTube at least every 30 days, and delete the record if the video no longer exists or access has been revoked.
- Visibility: a person at WhisperLooms reviews each video in YouTube Studio before choosing to make it public. The uploader never changes the visibility of an existing video.
- Revoking access: the uploader has a revoke command that revokes its tokens with Google immediately and deletes them. Access can also be revoked at any time on the Google security settings page. We delete stored YouTube data within 7 days of revoking in the uploader, and within 30 days of a revocation made through Google.
- Deleting data: to ask us to delete any data the uploader holds, email us. We act within 7 days. Deleting our records does not delete videos from YouTube.
Watching MuseVid videos on this site
Videos on the MuseVid page are embedded from YouTube using its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). In this mode, YouTube says it does not use cookies to track viewers until they press play. Once you do, YouTube may collect data under the Google Privacy Policy. WhisperLooms does not receive or keep any data about who watches.
Like the rest of whisperlooms.com, the MuseVid pages load Google Firebase for sign-in support and performance monitoring, which may store identifiers in your browser's storage. The MuseVid pages show no advertising.
People in the videos
Animated MuseVid characters are drawn in code from reference photos with the consent of the people shown. The reference photos stay private and are never published. Filmed MuseVids show real footage, published with the consent of the people in it. To ask about a video you appear in, contact us.
